Alfonso Cherene and Tim Nichols were involved in the preparations for “The Change”, a large stadium event during the World Youth Day 2023 in Lisbon. What had started as the vision of an evangelical pastor unexpectedly turned into an ecumenical mass event with the help of the Pope’s preacher. And it came close to disaster due to logistical problems. In the end, 40.000 young Protestants and Catholics celebrated together Christian unity during a worship concert.
