The Community of Reconciliation
The Community of Reconciliation - a community, that loves God and people.
„A new commandment I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.
The Community of Reconciliation was founded in 1988 by people from different ages, that were following God and wanted all peoples to testify of the love and reconciliation of God.
Jesus Christ is the incarnate love of God. His death and resurrection is the foundation of the salvation of the World. He wants to free the people from hate, fighting, selfishness and enemy. We want to testify of the good news of the love and reconciliation of God.
In the way that we deal with one another and care for one another, we want to display our love to God. As our example, we look to the first community in Jerusa-lem. Their lives were recognized through prayer, the teaching of the Apostles, the breaking of bread and the „koionia“ that they had with one another. It says that all the believers were in one heart and mind. (Acts 4,32) They cared for one another and they looked after the needs of everyone and the grace of God was with them.
The hate and the animosity between the Jewish and Arabic people are very well known around the world. We want to serve these people and want to point them to God’s reconciliation, so that they can reconcile with each other and be a blessing in the world. Because God loves them and has given them a common future (according to Isaiah 19) we believe that reconciliation is possible.
Children over the whole world are not only the weakest but are also the mostly abused and uncared for people. We want to pay attention to them, care and standby them because God especially has them close to His heart.
We want to encourage and support all Christians, no matter what confession or Tradition, in their Love and commitment to God to live for Him unconditionally so that they can be a shine the light of Love in this world so that people can recognize God Heart.
We want help our brothers and sisters in the faith not to separate themselves from one another but to see their differences as an opportunity to seek God’s image in each other.
Where this happens the love of God connects our hearts and enables us as the body of Christ to be an authentic believable testimony of the love of God in this world.
The God of the Bible is a God of all people groups and He wants to save, free and give peace to each people group. We believe and give testimony that God’s promises for His ancient covenant people, the Jews, as well as other peoples is on the way to be fulfilled and that God in His timing will bring them to fulfilment. Therefore we pray and work towards to see the plan of God, that the dream of all people will come to reality, as the Prophet Isaiah promised.
This is what Isaiah son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem: In the last days the mountain of the Lord’s temple will be established as the highest of the mountains; it will be exalted above the hills, and all nations will stream to it. Many people will come and say. Come let us go up to the mountain of the Lord to the temple of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways so that we may walk in his paths. The law will go out from Zion, the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
